THE LAVERNE SPAULDING VANZANT SCHOLARSHIP

Over past years the CSU Atlanta Alumni Association gave over $9,000 in scholarship funds. The Atlanta Alumni Association salutes each of our previous recipients in their continued pursuit of academic excellence.

Each recipient was chosen not only for their outstanding scholarly achievements, but for their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential leadership in whatever domains their scholastic endeavors may lead them.

1. 1. Must be a sophomore, junior or senior. Freshman are not eligible to apply.
2. 2. Must have a 2.8 + GPA to apply.
3. 3. Enrollment at Central State University.

• If you are applying for a scholarship and your parent attended Central State University, they MUST be financial. They must pay or have paid their local dues ($35.00) to the local chapter (Atlanta) for the current school year. Pay using the following link: http://centralstateatlantaalumni.com/
• Each Applicant must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a person other than a family member.
• Community service - You must provide verification that includes name of organization, dates, references, and what you did for your service.
• 2-minute to 5-minute video - addressing how you would promote Central State University, so others would want to attend.

1. 1. Completed application package must be received no later than September 06, 2024, in the mailbox below to be eligible for the scholarship.
2. 2. Applications received after the deadline and incomplete applications, may not be considered.
